2009 Drive

2008 Drive

The 2008 drive was with United Space Alliance from May 5th thru May 16th, 2008. In addition, the Space Coast Quilters donated the items necessary to put together the 400 Crosswinds Youth Services bags, which were delivered in March of this year.

2007 Drive

over 23,000 items We had enough items donated in 2006 to also do the 2007 drive. We donated 180 bags to Salvation Army Domestic Shelter, 400 bags to Crosswinds Youth Shelter and 853 items to Country Acres Youth Shelter, and 100 bags for the WIN homeless and shelter veterans. We also were able to donate 500 items to the Community Services Council, which assist the elderly in need in Brevard County.

We had many volunteers from both United Space Alliance and the community at large which helped to make this drive a success. We thank all who donated their items, time to put the bags together and get the word out to community of what we do in order to help others.

2006 Drive

The Daily Needs Supply Drive was a great success this year!!!

We met our goal of donating 240 bags to Serene Harbor Domestic Shelter, 440 bags to Salvation Army Domestic Shelter, 400 bags to Crosswinds Youth Shelter and 650 items to Country Acres Youth Shelter. We also were able to donate 500 items to the Community Services Council, which assist the elderly in need in Brevard County.

Over 32 volunteers from Points of Contact in many departments to outside volunteers for helped put bags together, is what made this drive such a success.

more boxes I want to personally thank each volunteer who put in their time and efforts to collect over 23,000 items. Pictured here are some of the items collected and boxed items before delivery.

We collect year round, so let me know and I can come and pick up items to put away for next year. Some things to keep an eye out for are cosmetic bags, canvas tote bags, diaper bags, receiving blankets, empty 3lb metal coffee cans, Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons (we use to purchase XL twin sheets for Country Acres).

I have had some great suggestions for next year, which will be incorporated into the 2007 drive.
